Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The AICMT2023 is committed to maintaining high standards of ethics in publication. As the proceedings of this conference will be published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis, it is imperative that all parties involved in the process  ,authors, reviewers, and editors – adhere to the highest ethical standards. This statement outlines the ethical behavior expected from all parties.

Ethical Guidelines for Authors

Authors of original research must present their work accurately, ensuring data is correctly represented and the manuscript allows for replication. Misrepresentation or fraudulent data is unethical. Authors should be ready to provide raw data for review and retain it post-publication. Original work is required, with proper citation for any used sources. Text recycling should be minimal and properly cited. Necessary permissions must be obtained for third-party material. Manuscripts should not be published in multiple journals, and concurrent submissions are unethical. Proper acknowledgment of sources is required, with authorship limited to significant contributors who approve the final manuscript. Financial or substantive conflicts of interest must be disclosed, along with funding sources. Authors must promptly correct significant errors in published work.

Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

Reviewers play a crucial role in assisting the conference editor in making editorial decisions and helping authors improve their papers. Selected referees who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or cannot ensure a prompt review should notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process. Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear and supported arguments, and personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and call to the editor’s attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Ethical Guidelines for Editors

The editor of the AICMT2023 is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the conference proceedings will be published. The validation of the work and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. An editor evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the express written consent of the author.

The AICMT2023 is dedicated to upholding the integrity of the academic record. We expect all participants to adhere to these ethical guidelines to ensure the quality and credibility of the work published. Any breaches of these ethics will be taken seriously and dealt with appropriately. By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to promote the highest standards of scientific publishing and to ensure that the AICMT2023 remains a respected forum for the dissemination of research.
